Test Engineering

Engineers in this area must posses the knowledge and capabilities needed to test systems or subsystems under development. Work requires knowledge of physics, engineering and/or manufacturing. Typically, research fields that lead to success in this focus area include mechanical systems, fluid systems, structural systems and electrical and electronic systems engineering. Qualifying occupations for this research area include general engineer, electronics engineer, electrical engineer, aerospace engineer, computer engineer, physicist, and physical scientist.
