Extravehicular Activity Systems

This research area focuses on knowledge of engineering, design, development, analysis and test of EVA systems. Researchers need to have knowledge and skills regarding the unique environment and constraints in sending a crewmember into space outside of a vehicle, and expertise in designing and developing spacesuits, tools, mechanisms, and operations that support such an activity.
